Study Questions

  1. When have you been puzzled by something unexpected? How did you gain understanding?
  2. Read Luke 24. In addition to Jesus' many explanations and reminders of his impending death before he was crucified, why was it important for the women at the empty tomb to hear it again (Luke 24:1-12). When have you been slow to understand God's Word?
  3. What did the two disciples on the way to Emmaus need to help them sort our what was happening?
  4. Read Luke 24:36-52. How was the Good News of the resurrections and forgiveness in Jesus to spread? Why were the disciples told to wait for the Spirit's empowerment?
  5. For the second half of Luke's account, read Acts 1:1-14; 2:1-41. How do the two books mesh together? How are you depending on the Holy Spirit in your kingdom efforts to seek and save the lost?
