Pioneer Bible Translators Celebration

On Sunday, October 15, Jeff & Laura Wilhoit from Pioneer Bible Translators (PBT) will be with us to celebrate the translating and publishing of the Toma Bible. Lakeside began supporting this project in 1996 and now a whole people group in West Africa have God’s Word translated into their own heart language.

Celebrate in the Services

  • The Wilhoits will be presenting a copy of the Toma Bible to Lakeside along with a certificate of appreciation from the Toma people.

    • Celebrate in the Lobby

  • You will be able to visit a large display about the Bible translation work being done by Pioneer Bible Translators around the world.

    • Celebrate over Lunch

  • Following the 10:30 AM service, you are invited to join the Lakeside Mission Team and the Wilhoits for a Pioneer Bible Translators ministry update lunch at 12 PM in the Elementary Kids' Worship Room. During the lunch, the Wilhoits will share a video and presentation with all the exciting things going on with PBT. You will want to hear what is next at PBT as Jeff & Laura continue their important translation work impacting people around the world. Come celebrate with us!
  • Please register and pay $5 per meal by October 1. You may pay online HERE under "Registration Fee" with "PBT Meal" in the memo, by placing a check in the offering with "PBT Meal" in the memo, or by placing cash in an envelope marked with your name and "PBT Meal" and placing it in the offering.
