3. Read Matthew 5:27-30. How does Jesus expand the

definition of adultery? Why do you think he uses such

hyperbole in his teaching on lust?

4. Why is lust such a big deal to God? Why is lust so powerful in wrecking our lives? How does Satan use lust to derail

us? Why shouldn’t we take the world’s advice to just “follow our hearts”?

5. What wisdom do you find in Proverbs or elsewhere in the

Bible about lust and its consequences?

6. Do you think lust is a bigger problem today than in Jesus’
