Trunk or Treat Event Reaches Hundreds!

At the end of October, the Lakeside family pulled off one of the largest outreach events we've had in recent years.  Our campus was filled with hundreds of new families for the Trunk or Treat and Chili Night event. Dozens of families indicated the night was their first time ever hearing about Lakeside and visiting.

The bottom line is people loved the event, and loved being here.  Outreach events like Trunk or Treat help our church build relationships with people far from God. That is their primary purpose.

Why was this event a success? It was a success because of Lakeside's generosity earlier in the year.  The expanded parking, made possible through generous donations, gave our church the physical space necessary to setup games.  We couldn’t have done this event a year ago.  Every parking space got used that Sunday night.

The event was also a success because of everyone's creativity.  Individuals, and entire small groups, planned all the games, staffed the event, and provided delicious food.  The event was also a success because of how many people were invited. People heard about this event because church members shared the event on Facebook, or went out of their way to personally invites friends, neighbors, and coworkers.  A significant number of people attended the event simply out of curiosity because the lot was full of activity.

The Elders and Ministry staff want to thank everyone who made this event a success!
