At the end of the summer, Lakeside unveiled its new logo. For several years the ministry staff toyed with various ideas for a new logo, but couldn't come up with a suitable design. We want to extend a special thanks to Heather Snider who came up with the final logo design! A logo is a way for people in our community to identify Lakeside as a church.
A few months ago, the Elders of Lakeside took an additional step and commissioned ACE SIGN COMPANY to develop fresh signage incorporating the new logo. Jon Morrissette, the Lead Pastor, explained the project this way: "I’ve been at Lakeside over 16 years and people always ask, 'Lakeside, where is that?' When I explain where we’re located, people say, 'Oh yeah, I drive by there all the time.' When cars are driving up to 45 mph by our property, the cursive font on current sign is too difficult to read. This is why our Elders met with Ace Sign Company."
The new signs are being installed in November along Toronto Road and Second Street. The signs are simple, clear, and readable. And most importantly, they are beautiful. They are an investment in the future and a way to extend a warm welcome to potential guests.
