Coronavirus Update

Hello Fellow Lakesiders,

Each day we are becoming more aware of the potential impact of the coronavirus. We believe that God is bigger than any virus. We can trust in Him no matter what trials we experience in life. (1 Corinthians 12:24-26 Philippians 4:6-7) We want to be wise, and not fearful. Everyone's safety is important to us. For that reason we have chosen to err on the side of caution to slow the spread of cold/flu/and other viruses that may be circulating.

At the order of the Sangamon Health Dept, and advice of our medical professionals, we are cancelling all on-campus activities until further notice. This includes Sunday morning services and classes, mid-week meetings, as well as youth and children's programming.

The coronavirus situation is being referred to as fluid. Things are ever-changing as information becomes available. We will continuously monitor the recommendations of the CDC and the local health officials as we try to determine when to resume our normal programming. We will continue to communicate through our website, text, email, and social media.

For this coming Sunday we invite you to gather with us online as we continue our series in the book of Mark. At 9:00am or 10:30am, you can view the entire service within our app, on our website, or on our Facebook page.

At this time we encourage our community groups to continue to meet in homes at their own discretion.

We urge you to setup online giving. Setting up online giving only takes a few minutes and it will enable Lakeside to have financial stability during this turbulent time. You can find our give page on our website.

We encourage you to continue to offer hope and the love of Jesus to your neighbors throughout this time.

In His Love,

Lakeside Elders and Staff
