Why Church Planting Matters

• Hebrews 6:19 says, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."

EXTENDING Hope "TO" The Church at Antioch Syria

• Antioch Syria was a place that badly needed hope.
• In Acts 11:19-20, we read about how Paul extended hope to Antioch Syria.  "Now those who had been scattered by the persecution in connection with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, telling the message only to Jews. Some of them, however, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus."

Three keys to "EXTENDING" hope:

• We must see possibilities.
• We must takes risks to reach.
• We must attract others.
  

The Results: "The Lord’s hand was with them, an a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord"

SENDING Hope "FROM" The Church at Antioch Syria

• Acts 13:1-3 says, "In the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off."

Three keys to "SENDING" hope:

• We must tune into the Spirit.
• We must take action.
• We must remember our calling.
