  2. Read and briefly summarize what the author says about "achievement" in Ecclesiastes 2:4-11, 18-26.
  3. Note the number of times the word 'I' occurs in the Ecclesiastes passage above and contrast this with the attitude and teaching of Jesus in Philippians 2:5-11 and Mark 8:34-38 and the apostle Paul in Galatians 2:20 and Philippians 3:1-11.
  4. What experiences have you had or observed in which achievement of personal goals may leave one relationally impoverished?
